  1. place it.........??? i dunno much but then when u join ur cricket club u'll come to know
  2. hmm you dont need to hit every ball for four, you should just play defensive if you are cramped for space, depending on the height of the ball you might be able to pull or hook it through the leg side
  3. Off your ribs, you can glanceit if you can move across enough and turn down to fine leg...again if you have watched the ball fast enough (and depending on the height of the ball) you can step back and pull/hook it around the square leg area.
  4. If you are sure it is coming towards your ribs, just defect it on the leg-side past the wicketkeeper. Since you are deflecting, it uses the bowlers pace. Going to the boundary etc. depends on how the field is set. Nonetheless playing behind the wicket on the leg-side is an effective shot.
  5. If it's going towards ur ribs, make a pull shot. Attack is the best form of defense.
  6. defence it or place it. we should not play a shot because there are chances of being out.
  7. flick it towards leg side like kevin Petersen, laxman, sehwag and many more risty players does..they make it look so easy and fantastic to watch.
  8. If it is going on to your ribs you can glance it or can flick your wrists so as to place the ball in the gaps. On the other hand if you want to attack try to play the pull shot with a horizontal bat. But if the ball bounces a bit higher you can play the hook shot. Look to keep the ball along the ground cause if it bounces a bit more than you anticipated you could top edge it & give an easy catch. But be careful cause if you miss the ball it will hurt really bad.
  9. 1.A ball going to your ribs will sail well over the stumps. If it short enough it can be pulled to mid-wicket or hooked to square leg by moving inside the line (ie)moving slightly to off side. If it is not short just move away from the line and allow the ball to sail over stumps. 2.Ball coming at the wicket may be defended or glanced to fine leg depending on the length.
  10. The pull shot or the hook shot would be quite effective. Or you could either defend or sway out of the way, not every ball needs to be hit.
  11. if its coming to your ribs u can pull or hook it nicely
  12. leg side(square or pass through keeper) for single or pull for six or four,
  13. THe Ryan Campbell 'scoop over the head' is always worth a try for some runs... Alternatively, back away & play it over the slips; or move backwards to hook/ pull it.
